The Cincinnati Ballet has been an institution to the Queen City since 1958, and is revered for their annual production of Swan Lake. The soft pink in the color palette is reminiscent of ballerina tutus, while being countered by bold, navy abstracted shapes symbolizing a spotlight in its simplest form. The halftone pattern applied to the cut-outs gives the design a pop-art edge and bridges the gap between this Renaissance-era art form and contemporary design.
